Christmas Reflection 2024

Merry Christmas to you and your family! We hope Christmas 2024 is fun and full of love for you and your families. In our second year of operation, Kindred Kids Early Intervention has thrived. This time of year offers us the opportunity to review the previous year and see where we have developed, and boy, do we have news to share!

At the start of the year, we had a fully functioning small-group and individual format being completed by Erin, Lead Practitioner, and Samantha. We welcomed Laura to our team to assist Group ESDM, and this also gave us the opportunity to offer Early Childhood Support Sessions within the community, meaning children were able to have access to services in a place that generalises their skills.  

Midyear, Kaitlyn from Collaborative Partnerships filled in for a Therapy Cycle with some of our children when Samantha unexpectedly left due to personal reasons. We still touch base with Samantha to see what she’s up to, and yes, she’s still working in the Early Childhood space! Kaitlyn gave us a refreshing Occupational Therapy perspective to add to our professional development.

Though we were sad to see Kaitlyn go after her temporary time with us, we couldn’t be happier with her replacement, Joel! Many families have been able to work with Joel and benefit from his previous work as a teacher and within behaviour support. Having him on the team meant opening even more groups and capacity for additional children!

In the latest chapter of Kindred Kids, we’ve also added Lauren who gives us valuable contributions from an early childhood perspective along with some insider knowledge with Bushkids and NDIS. Lauren has fitted seamlessly into supporting children and helping us reach even more children!

Last month, 2 exciting things happened, 1) We welcomed a new Client Support Team Member, Chantelle, to help us assist our families quickly and effectively and 2) Kindred Kids also secured its own lease and will be moving shortly in time to resume our G-ESDM and Individual Sessions at our new home in Sippy Downs (a 5 minute drive from our previous clinic) for the start of the 2025! Overall, we are so happy with changes and development over the course of 2024. We know that 2025 will be just as action-packed for our Kindred Kids and can’t wait to meet and welcome new children to the mix!! A very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to all our families!
